Career in VFX

The interesting field of Visual Effects is most talked about but not in a career point of view. I had an old friend who had a stint in visual effects. Her inputs are compiled for aspirants in Visual effects industry. As of now she is not working. Her first job was technical in charge for a 2D animation studio. She always wanted to get into game designing and so she took up Computer Sciences in engineering for programming background. Career in Law

My first interview was given by a dynamic girl about her law career. She is working for Hawkins cookers, part of their legal department. She manages in-house legal work, for litigation, if it comes up, works with the help of external counsel. She joined as Management Trainee for the Legal Department. She earlier worked with a corporate law firm based on New Delhi. Being always good in debating in school, she wanted to take up a career in law, despite 80% of her family being. She chose Allahabad University for its rich heritage. It is famous for producing noted lawyers of our country. Allahabad is the biggest high court in the country in terms of number of cases, and also the oldest court. After being in college, she realized Law was much more and actually started liking it. Career in Hotel Management

Let’s look into another people intensive career of Hospitality. I had the opportunity to interact with a Hospitality professional with extensive experience of 20 years working in Hotels and currently operations manager in Customer Service at Amazon.  Brief outline of his career, with hotel management degree from National Council of Hotel Management, Bhopal, he started with Taj group. Rising from trainee supervisor to General manager in a span of 15 years, across 7-8 cities, he joined Amazon in a challenging role. He noted that he took up hospitality since it was glamorous when he passed 12 th and also hotels mostly preferred people with army background, for a disciplined environment. Why don't we start with the career of making careers? Here is the story of a female professional in Human Resources stream. I thank heartily for her patience in the 90 minute interview. Please note that the interview was taken in 2015, the role mentioned was a trial by Amazon and it has been automated since. To give the outline, she is an employee of Amazon, India, part of their recruiting services. She is working with Amazon for their employee referral program currently.
